ONLINE FRIENDSHIP CONTRIBUTION (Membership)

As the cost of maintaining and administrating the Sydney Eruv is quite considerable, we appreciate your support and thank you for your contribution. The money collected is used for the following:

Maintenance and repair of the Eruv: the Eruv requires many repairs, especially in those areas that are close to the beaches
The Kashrut Authority (KA): The KA is the liaison point between the Eruv checkers, the rabbis and the outsourced repair organisation
Checkers and Drivers: The Eruv checkers and drivers are paid for their time
Sinking Fund: To fund major maintenance to the Eruv every five years

This year the yearly friendship contribution remains the same as in the previous years at $78 p/a ($1.50 per week). However friends are encouraged to give more. By becoming a friend you will receive a weekly SMS and email notifying you of the status of the eruv as well as the Shabbat times for the week. Contributors of $200 or more for the year will also be given the option to sponsor the weekly SMS and weekly email which can be made tax deductible (business sponsorship only).
